Our Story

Goldust began as the first spa on Echo beach in 2009 with just one room and three chairs. At this point in time, Canggu was largely undiscovered, and more of a secret surfers paradise. We quickly garnered a reputation for our therapeutic massages and our beautiful manicures and pedicures. After 5 successful years, we set our sights on Batu Bolong for the second location, a quiet part of Bali that had clear potential for growth. Fast forward 10 more years, Canggu was becoming a popular destination for visitors from across the globe, and Goldust was becoming more and more famous for its reputation for offering relaxing massages and high-end facials.

We needed somewhere that would match these growing demands and mirror our vision for luxury as we transitioned from beach-side boutique to a mainstay in the world of high-class spas. Then it clicked. Goldust’s third location had been waiting for us all along. The decadent home of the owner’s family, built in 1989, would be both large and grand enough to support the growing vision of Goldust. Memories of this time, such as the Buddhas, ornate wooden furniture, books and chandeliers, are scattered throughout the spa, all paying homage to the history of this cherished home. Originally surrounded by expansive views of rice fields and little else, Goldust seamlessly blends past with present.
